Ben Foden makes first public contact with Una Healy one month after split

The pair were married for six years.

It’s been a little over a month since Una Healy and Ben Foden announced their split after accusations surfaced that Ben had cheated on his wife of six years. And after weeks of silence on the issue, Ben has now reached out to the mother of his two children publicly on Instagram. Una took to her page to update fans about an upcoming gig she has next weekend and Ben showed his support by liking the post on Instagram.

“One week to go,” she wrote. “I am really looking forward to performing next week at The Longroad Festival along with some of my favourite artists including Carrie Underwood, The Shires and many more.”

Over the last few weeks, Una has removed nearly all the pictures of Ben from her Instagram page, yet he has chosen to keep pictures of himself and his estranged wife on his. A spokesperson for the pair announced they had split at the end of July, just weeks after they celebrated their wedding anniversary.

“I can confirm Una and Ben have separated and she’s in Ireland with her mum and kids, but there will be no further comment to make.”

The pair had reportedly been due to move to the United States with their two children at the time and Ben is said to be still moving stateside after he signed with Rugby United New York earlier this year. The pair were married back in 2012 and welcomed two children together; Aoife Belle, six, and Tadhg, three, during their six-year marriage.
