Season six of Schitt’s Creek is coming to Netflix next week and the excitement is real.

Honestly, it’s just the news we needed today.

Season six of Schitt’s Creek officially arrives on Netflix next week and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited.

The streaming service have confirmed that the final season of the sitcom will be available the binge-watch (because how else would you watch it?) on May 14.

If you’re looking for something new to watch this weekend, though, there are plenty of great titles that have recently been added – including season two of Dead to Me and The Eddy.

Schitt’s Creek is a Canadian sitcom created by Dan and Eugene Levy, which premiered back in 2015. Their sixth and final season began in North America in January.

Through its run, the series has won 18 Canadian Screen Awards and an ACTRA Award. It’s the first series from network Pop TV to get an Emmy nomination.

Last year, Dan Levy told Entertainment Weekly that he originally thought the show was only going to get five seasons – and teased a possible return to the show down the line.

“I feel really confident that we’ve really mined everything we could,” he said.

“But the world doesn’t explode at the end of it. If there is something that comes up down the line that feels compelling enough to bring our troupe back together and continue to tell a story, so be it.

“I’m not one to lay down the iron fist and say, ‘This is it forever.’ This is just it for now.”
