The remains were discovered over the weekend.

The body of a man has been found in a woodland near I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’s Gwrych Castle.

According to the Daily Post, the discovery was made near Lady Emily’s Tower just after 10am on Saturday morning.

Police officers attended the scene on Saturday morning. They are not looking for anybody in relation to the man’s death.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We were notified at 10.57am on Saturday, November 28, by the Welsh Ambulance Service.

“The body of a man, who we understand had been on a mountain bike in woods off the Abergele Road was discovered. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed.”

This year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here was moved from the Australian jungle to the Welsh castle due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The scene where the body was discovered on Saturday is approximately 1.3 kilometres from the site of the castle.

This year’s final is due to air tomorrow night, December 4, at 9pm on ITV andVirgin Media One. The finale is expected to finish at 10:35pm.

This year’s series of the reality TV show ran for a total of three weeks and 20 episodes – a shorter stint than usual, which is most likely to give the contestants time to self isolate before returning to their families.

It is expected that either Jordan North, Giovanna Fletcher or Vernon Kay will take this year’s crown, while it seems likely that Victoria Derbyshire and Russell Watson will be voted out next.
