Brian McFadden just had a serious go at the Westlife guys

Your move, lads.

Anna O'Rourke

Ah lads.

We hate seeing former band mates fall out, especially when the band in question is Westlife.

But it seems like there’s some serious beef between Brian McFadden and the lads in the group – at least on Brian’s end.

The singer left Westlife in 2004 after six years of – let’s be honest – cracking hits.

The rest of the lads went on to perform together until 2012 and have been dogged by rumours of that they’re getting back together ever since.

Whether or not that’s on the cards, Shane Filan has pretty much ruled out the prospect of a reunion that includes Brian.

“I haven’t seen Brian in ten years,” he said. “We’ve just lost touch. It’s like going to school with somebody and then not speaking.

“We all had a good relationship with Brian, then he just left the band very early on. And I don’t think we would ever reunite with him.

“I honestly see Westlife as being four people now,” he added. “The four people who started and finished Westlife are what I consider the band.”

Brain responded by saying that he’d be interested in a reunion but that “ego” was to blame for him not being invited back.

“I completely understand that the group see themselves as a four piece,” he started a series of now-deleted tweets.

“But let’s be honest, ego is destroying a full Westlife reunion.

“For the record. I have spoke to senior members of the Westlife project saying a major offer is on the table for a five-man reunion.

“That’s fine but you have to respect the wishes of Shane, Mark, Nick and Kian. If they only want to be a four piece I respect that.”

Do you respect that though?

Either way, we’re dying to see what happens next.
