Helen George reveals details of Call The Midwife Christmas special and we’re excited

It can’t come soon enough.

We’re big fans of Call the Midwife and if you’re anything like us, you’re probably counting down the days until the Christmas special.

Helen George, one of the show’s main stars, appeared alongside Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning during the week and revealed some of the details of the highly anticipated special.

And now, we are very excited.

Chatting on the popular morning show, Helen told viewers the cast travelled to the Outer Hebrides for the festive special:

“It was beautiful because we got to film there for four weeks and it’s such a stunning place. It becomes a character in itself, it’s so cinematic, and it was really cold. Because the surroundings are just so beautiful that you don’t want to ignore it!”

When asked about the upcoming plot, Helen revealed some of the details which of course included babies and even a few cows;

“We go up there because there’s a small community without any medical health care of advisors, nurses or doctors, and there’s a community in need so we go up and help in our own way.There’s some babies! I have some scenes with a cow!”

I know it’s only November and we’ve still got some waiting to do but we’re counting down the days, it doesn’t come better than Christmas TV.
