Caroline Flack has shared the first look at the Love Island Christmas special and OMG

It feels like there has been so many things that have happened since Love Island left our screens earlier this year. While some couples appear to have found their happily ever after and gone the distance, there's also been plenty of breakups, tantrums and just a seemingly never-ending stream of controversies. Which is why we were particularly excited when the Love Island Christmas reunion was announced earlier this month. And now Caroline Flack has sent Love Island fans into meltdown as she shared the first look at the Christmas reunion. The TV presenter shared a series of shots on her Instagram stories that confirmed filming is about to kick off, while many of the cast members began to confirm they were going offline for the next few days. Caroline - who is returning for the one-off special alongside voice over man Iain Stirling - posted a selfie admitting it was "weird" to be shooting for the summer show during the winter. She followed it up with a shot of her script and the first glimpse of the stunning (indoor) set for the festive-themed show. The where-are-they-now style show will feature 19 former Islanders reuniting for a Christmas catch-up. This year's winners, Jack and Dani, will be there, as well as Wes and Megan, and Adam and Zara. Kaz will be at the reunion solo, as her boyfriend, Josh, won't be able to make it since he is going to be away. The scenes are also going to see the previously coupled-up contestants come face-to-face, including this year's runner-ups, Paul and Laura; Georgia and Sam; and Ellie and Charlie. Samira, Dr. Alex, Alexandra, Kendall, Hayley and Eyal will also be joining the rest of their castmates, spilling on whether or not they have had more luck in love after their stint in the villa. Ahead of the filming kicking off, many Islanders took to their Instagram stories to announce they would be going offline for a few days. Wes shared a video of himself and Megan, where he said:

“Filming the Christmas reunion. It’s about to go down.”

And Paul Knops, who was this year's runner-up with Laura Anderson, also confirmed he would be "offline for a couple of days too".
