The ladies of Monterey are back.
We have been looking forward to the second season of Big Little Lies ever since the premiere of the first and the latest behind-the-scenes pictures have our excitement reaching peak levels.
The show’s leading ladies have been sharing pictures as they begin filming for the second season and they seem just as excited as we are.
Taking to Instagram to share a snap alongside her former enemy, Reese Witherspoon is back as Madeline and joined by Laura Dern’s Renata in a picture, captioned:
“Watch out Monterey, here we come!”
Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz also posted snaps from the set as production got underway on the follow-up season to the Emmy-Award winning show.
Nicole Kidman has yet to post pictures from set online, however, if she did, you know she’d be posting some killer pictures of her as the amazing Celeste living her best life.
The second season of the hit drama will “explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting”… or so says HBO.
One of the biggest casting announcements for the new season came in the form of the legendary Meryl Streep who is joining the team as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Alexander Skarsgard’s character Perry, and we cannot wait to see what she does on the show.
You’ll have to wait and see, however, as it’s said the show won’t be returning until 2019.
