The cast of Ugly Betty are calling for a revival of the show… and YES PLEASE

Yes. Yes. Yes.

At a time when everything is being rebooted, we’re praying to the TV Gods that this is the next show to return to the small screen. Ugly Betty was the TV gift that arrived in 2006 and was taken from us in 2010 – far too soon, we might add. The show told the story of Betty Suarez navigating through the ranks of Mode magazine and we absolutely loved it. And now, eight years after it finished, it looks like it could be making a comeback and we could not be happier. Speaking last week, Michael Urie who played the sassy assistant Marc St James on the show said that he and the cast are well up for a reunion.

“We all would,” he told Vulture. “We loved each other so much and we loved it so much. We would absolutely do a revival and if you’re listening, ABC, please make it happen. “You can make one of the characters a Trump supporter if you have to.”

And it’s not just Michael who’s all for it – Betty herself America Ferrera, Wilhelmina Slater's Vanessa Williams and Amanda Tanen's Becki Newton have all said they would return to their roles. The show finished up in 2010 with Betty moving to London to work for a women’s magazine and starting a relationship with former boss Daniel Meade. Here’s hoping we get to see how that all played out.
