Channel 4 viewers not able for documentary about threesomes
The show follows people on their journey to fulfil the nation's number one sexual desire.
Channel 4 left viewers were not able on Wednesday night when viewing the new documentary My First Threesome.
In the show, five women and five men from the UK share their experiences of their first threesome. The show aims to break taboos and create a healthy dialogue about sex and sexual fantasies.
Threesomes 🌸🍒🍆💦
Everyone's doing them, or at least they want to - it's the nation's top sexual fantasy!
Join us as we follow people looking to turn this raunchy daydream into reality. #MyFirstThreesome tomorrow at 10pm on Channel 4. pic.twitter.com/9x7lW3zIQy— Channel 4 (@Channel4) October 12, 2021
The documentary says that threesomes are the nation's number one sexual fantasy. A survey carried out by programme makers revealed that two-thirds of adults would like to make their fantasy a reality, while 1 in 4 said lockdown had made them more sexually adventurous.
What’s more, statistics from Pornhub show that Britain is the sixth most likely nation to search for threeway porn - and it’s even more popular amongst women than men.
Laura, a 24-year-old receptionist from London, was among the participants. The documentary follows her to a sex club, where she hooks up with a woman and a male friend - an encounter she later describes as "amazing".
“To be honest, I didn’t realise a threesome was going to happen until I was actually in it," she told the camera.
"It ended up actually being with my friend and a woman that was part of a couple. It was spurred on from me and her, rather than a male influence, which is just not what I expected at all.”
The film also followed a young couple, Mart and Daisy, who were looking to "spice up" their sex life with a threesome. Daisy addressed her insecurities around the idea while the two browsed dating apps to find a suitable candidate, highlighting the need for consent and trust when it comes to threesomes.
“Sometimes I see great looking girls and we don’t swipe right,” she said. “I don’t really want to find someone that is 10/10.”
Participants were also shown casually texting their friends for a threesome - much to the audience's horror. Following the show, #MyFirstThreesome was trending as viewers took to Twitter to express their opinions.

Another viewer contemplated what would happen the morning after.
#MyFirstThreesome it’s the next morning I couldn’t be arsed with, Making breakfast for 3? That’s basically running a cafe and I’m just not up for that.

Others made jokes about their own feelings towards threesomes.
If I want to disappoint two people at the same time, I just update my parents on my life #myfirstthreesome
