My Chemical Romance have reunited and announced a comeback gig

My Chemical Romance have reunited and announced a comeback gig.

Ever since their split in 2013, fans have been hoping that the band would reunite one day. And a few months after Joe Jonas seemed to hint a MCR reunion was imminent, it looks like things are official.

On Thursday, the band took to Twitter to announce a comeback show at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Friday, December 20.

Tickets go on sale at 12pm PST (so, 7pm IST) on Friday, November 1. It will be the band’s first show since 2012.

Fans began to wonder if an announcement was imminent after the My Chemical Romance social media accounts all changed their profile photo to a picture of a candle.

Earlier this summer, Jonas told KISS FM that he had heard My Chemical Romance had been rehearsing near the also-recently-reformed Jonas Brothers.

“My Chemical Romance were apparently rehearsing next to us in New York recently, which — I thought they broke up, so…that’s the gossip,” he said.

And although MCR guitarist Frank Iero denied the claims at the time to the Asbury Park Press, he did say “anything was possible” in regards to the band reforming.
