Cheryl brought serious nostalgia to her performance at Manchester Pride

Now, that’s a throwback.

Fans of Cheryl were singing her praises after what they recall was a “stellar” performance from the star at last weekend’s Manchester Pride Festival.

The star took to the stage over the weekend alongside the likes of Ariana Grande, Becky Hill and Bananarama.

The 26-year-old performed all her hits from Fight For This Love to Call My Name and unlike her comeback performance earlier this year, it seems as though the reaction this time was a lot more positive.

And in true 2009 Cheryl style, the star brought back the wardrobe she made famous in the noughties, we’re talking about the cuffed split trousers.

The star started her performance wrapped in a Pride flag to then reveal her glitzy outfit which included a colourful leotard and her trademark pants.

Ariana Grande also tweeted about performing at Manchester Pride saying:

“Love u so much. can’t wait to give u all our love. you’re my heart in every way. see u soon.”

This was Ariana’s first performance in Manchester since the One Love concert in June 2017. The One Love concert was created to raise funds for the victims and families who were affected by the terrorist attack at the popstar’s concert in Manchester the previous month.

22 people tragically died when exiting the concert in May 2017 after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb near the exit of the arena.

Last night Ariana revealed she was “overwhelmed” to be back performing in Manchester.

The star takes to the stage of Dublin’s 3Arena next month for three sold-out gigs.
