The new series of Top Gear kicked off on Sunday and let’s just say it divided opinion.
Okay well, it got slated. People were not one bit impressed with the new show dubbing it ‘Flop Gear’. They were criticising new host, Chris Evans, while they didn’t seem too bothered by the other newbie Matt LeBlanc.
Not happy with how people were reacting Chris took to Twitter to defend the new show the day after it was broadcast.
And now a day later, he has hit back again at all the ‘haters’. He went back to Twitter to shut down anyone complaining about the show providing the viewer figures as a backup for the show’s success.
More bad news for the Top Gear haters: consolidated figures for the first episode of the new series have now past 5.6 million and counting.

That’s without the 1.2 million views (so far !) on the i Player. Obviously as these ate THE ACTUAL FACTS, they’l continue to ignore them.
