Clueless And 17 Again – The Best Films On TV This Week

Sue Murphy

There are so many films on TV on a weekly basis, we thought we would draw your attention to some of the better movies that you can check out from the comfort of your own home. Here are seven of the best films that are on TV this week.

1. Bridget Jones’s Diary, Monday, RTÉ1, 9.35pm.

Yes, we know. You have seen this about one hundred times but it is absolutely no harm to watch it again.

2. Ocean’s Eleven, Tuesday, ITV4, 10.05pm.

Danny Ocean and his pals decide they are going to break into a couple of casinos but not just any casinos, the most expensive casinos on the strip.

3. Unstoppable, Wednesday, RTÉ1, 9.35pm.

Another of the Tony Scott action masterpieces, Unstoppable is one of the most simplistic plots you could possibly see in an action film; a train goes out of control on the tracks, two men try to stop it. Absolute genius.

4. Hot Fuzz, Thursday, ITV2, 9pm.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost return for the second film in the Cornetto trilogy as two cops in a sleepy town where one of the cops suspects a conspiracy is about to happen.

5. The Reader, Friday, RTÉ1, 10.05pm.

Almost a decade after he had an affair with an older woman, law student Michael Berg encounters her again during her trial.

6. 17 Again, Saturday, RTÉ Two, 9pm.

Two words. Zac Efron. You’re welcome.

7. Clueless, Sunday, RTÉ Two, 5.35pm.

An absolute classic, Clueless is still to this day one of the best comedies and teen films on the scene. AS IF!
