According to the soap’s website, the ex-boyfriend of Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) and the son of Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis) are heading for Weatherfield.
Sean Ward, who has already started filming on the street, will play Callum who Kylie goes in search of when their son Max is diagnosed with ADHD.
Speaking about his new role, he said: “It is a great honour and it will be a professional challenge to play bad boy Callum. I’m very much looking forward to working closely with Paula”.
As for Michael's son Gavin, Oliver Farnworth will be stepping into that role and it sounds as if viewers are in for a real treat, that is if producer Stuart Blackburn’s words are anything to go by.
He explained: “Sexy, confident, engaging and yet still with edge and depth, Oliver as an actor has got it all and I can’t wait to see Gavin light up our screens”.
