Intriguing.

Coronation Street’s Anthony Cotton has hinted at a massively controversial storyline for the soap.

The actor who plays Sean Tully, admitted that the plot will leave fans stunned – as well as all of the Weatherfield residents themselves.

And while he kept quiet on what exactly is going to be going on, he did say that show bosses had to contract multiple cast members to see if they have any concerns about the plot.

He told BANG Showbiz:

“We’ve had a good year, we’ve got lots coming up, we are about to start filming a very big storyline in the New Year, lots of us are involved.

“I’ve had an email today about something I can’t talk about, about if anybody has concerns with certain things that might happen then we need to talk about them now, that’s starting as soon as we get back.”

He also spoke about Sean’s homelessness storyline, and his concern over how many former army vets are living on the street.

He explained:

“I was very proud to play that storyline out. I work a lot with the military and have done for the past 10 years.

“One in for four homeless people are veterans, which is kind of extraordinary statistic. One in four homelessness people on the street at some point have served their country, which I think is an atrocious statistic.

“I took that storyline very seriously and I was thrilled to be part of it, I loved that storyline, loved it.”
