Coronation Street’s Josh Tucker left for dead after being violently attacked

Keeley Ryan

Coronation Street’s Josh Tucker is left fighting for his life next week after he is violently attacked.

The drama begins to unfold after local vicar Billy Mayhew follows David Platt, aware of how he behaving strangely following his ordeal with Josh.

Josh attacked David some months ago, leaving him mentally scarred as he struggled to deal with his PTSD, his trauma, and his own assertion of masculinity.

And Billy is confused when he spots David keeping track of an unknown man, demanding an explanation of what he is up to.

David hesitantly comes clean about how he is trying to make sure that Josh doesn’t attack anyone again – and that this man he’s keeping an eye on has been spending lots of time with Josh lately.

Billy convinces David to go home, before deciding to take matters into his own hands.

He approaches the man, Ethan, and warns him to stay away from Josh, as he’s a rapist.

Later on, police call to Billy’s flat to tell him that Ethan has attacked Josh – and he’s now in the hospital. The guilt-stricken vicar comes clean to David and Shona about what has happened.

Photos also show him paying a visit to Josh in the hospital, although it’s not clear if he will pull through.

Corrie producers have said previously that David would get justice for what Josh did to him.

It does remain to be seen though whether the police will be involved in this justice or not.
