Corrie’s Maria Connor gets x-rated messages after making big error on dating site

Coronation Street's Maria Connor is set to receive x-rated messages after making a big error on her dating profile.

The unlucky-in-love hairdresser decides to set up an online dating profile after  a girly spa night with Gail Rodwell and Audrey Roberts leads her to want to take charge of her love life. However, she doesn't realise that she already has an admirer in Weatherfield: Ali Neeson. In scenes set to air next week, she receives a phone call from the school letting her know that her son, Liam, isn't well. She rushes Ali out of the salon, as she explains that she has to close up. As she waits with her son in the medical centre, Ali casts admiring glances towards Maria - something which doesn't go unnoticed by Liam. Still frustrated by her lack of a love life, Maria decides to set up a profile on a dating site - and things don't quite go to plan. According to Metro, she starts to get some pretty unexpected (and very raunchy) messages responding to her profile. Bethany Platt casts an eye over her profile and explains to Maria that she's been getting those messages as she has put Netflix and chill among her interests. And Maria is horrified when Bethany fills her in on what the phrase actually means, and immediately decides to delete the app. Afterwards, Maria runs into Ali in the Rovers, where she vents about her non-existent love life. But when he hints that the person who she could be looking for may be right in front of her, will Maria actually take the hint?
