Corrie Character Will Be Left “Gobsmacked” After Partner’s Revelation

Coronation Street’s Sally Webster is in for a shock when her other half Tim Metcalfe reveals that he cannot read. The revelation comes after she accuses him of having an affair with Anna Windass and starts throwing his belongings out on the street. Sally goes off when she thinks she has discovered Tim having an affair. Speaking about the storyline, Sally Dynevor (who plays Sally Webster) told Digital Spy: “Sally is completely gobsmacked. “Of course, her initial reaction is being completely mortified that she’s embarrassed herself by thinking that Tim was having an affair. “Sally is also really upset that he asked Anna to help him and not her… Sally wonders what that makes her and what people must think of her if they can’t confide in her. She’s really hurt by it.” Anna has simply been helping Tim to learn how to read. According to the website, Sally then starts teaching Tim how to read but it doesn’t exactly go to plan. Despite that, the actress says that she sees a bright future for the onscreen couple. She explained: “I think they are so great together. I love the fact that Tim and Kevin (Sally's ex-husband) get on as well - they have such a good relationship now and we all have some great scenes together.”
