Corrie star accidentally revealed massive spoiler on live TV

Uhoh.

Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel Osbourne on Coronation Street, accidentally blurted out a new storyline during an appearance on today's This Morning. The show's presenters, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schoefield were mad to extract some gossip from Rob and conversation quickly turned to his character's love life. Rob tried to tease the upcoming plot by giving away a clue but the below comment was enough to give the game away.

"It’s an older woman. She sees something missing in him and he sees something missing in her".

Phillip was quick off the mark and jumped in, exclaiming "It's Carla!" Rob confirmed that Carla Connor, who has just returned to Weatherfield FYI, will be Daniel's new love interest. He then said that he wasn't sure if he should be talking about it but it was okay for the presenting duo to mention it. This new storyline is sure to be of massive interest to Corrie viewers with Rob himself saying that fans seem "quite keen" for it to go ahead.
