As old school fans will know Betty Williams was the first to introduce the dish to the pub's menu and although her character has since exited the show (Betty was written out when Betty Driver, the actress who played her passed away), it's still a trademark of the Rovers and Corrie itself. Needless to say, fans were livid at Michelle's decision and took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Not watched #corrie in about 15yrs. They still serve Betty's hotpot ???????
