Corrie viewers were embarrassed by Aidan’s ‘cheesy’ gesture last night

The cringe factor was off the scale completely.

If you're a Corrie fan, you'll know that Aidan and Maria are having an affair and it's all getting a bit complicated as Aidan's girlfriend Eva is eager to get engaged. Anyway, it seems Aidan is more concerned with making cheesy gestures for Maria as viewers witnessed on last night's show.

As Maria was recently released from prison, they're making up for lost time with Aidan buying Maria a present, inspired by the ankle tag she had to wear after leaving jail.

However, it's now been taken off but as a (very strange) ode to the tag, Aidan bought her an ankle bracelet and if that's not vomit-inducing enough, he gave it to her saying "from now on you're my prisoner". Run Maria run... Unsurprisingly, people are having none of him and voiced their opinions on Twitter.
