Look lads, Ken Barlow is a sound enough bloke. He's had his ups, he's had his downs, he's had his fair share of times shouting at Tracy for doing something stupid but you'd forgive him for losing his temper a bit, he's Ken Barlow. It hardly makes sense then that Ken would go so far as to scam someone as helpless as Mary out of a large sum of money - especially seeing as he's been fairly low key on the street as of late. Apparently, he will scam her though - out of a cool 500 quid. Except it won't actually be him, it'll be somebody posing as a doctor version of him. And it won't be a random somebody either, it'll be Mary's son, Jude. Because of course it will. Here's what's going to happen: Mary's is lured to a B&B in Blackpool under the pretence of seeing her son again and reuniting him with the rest of the family. She brings Roy Cropper (who is set to leave the show in a shock death scenario pretty soon) along for the ride. They meet with Jude who demands that Mary get him 500 quid, quite rudely stating: "You better get as much as you can. I might have run up a few extras. I was too embarrassed to check the final amount." Alright mate, calm down like. Mary rushes off only to eventually discover that Jude is up to his old tricks as he's been posing as an Irish 'Dr Ken Barlow' while simultaneously dating a blonde woman who is, of course, none the wiser. When the woman asks who Mary is, Jude says: "Three months ago she couldn't walk. I did a four hour double hip operation on her and now she's skipping round Blackpool like a teenager." Ken Barlow would never.
