The Stranger, starring Richard Armitage, is an eight part thriller that follows a seemingly perfect marriage as it becomes unravelled - all because of the words of a stranger.
Armitage's character, Adam Price, has been married to Corinne for quite a while. The couple have two sons together, live in a nice house, and generally appear to be living perfect lives.
That is, until, Adam meets a stranger in a bar who tells him a secret about Corinne that changes the way he views his relationship - and his entire life.
Based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben, the story has been called "twisted," "intriguing" and "nail-biting" so we can only go ahead and presume that the series adaptation (as reported by Deadline) will be even more intense.
“The Stranger was one of my most challenging novels — and definitely the most twisted," said Coben.
"When I wrote it, I never imagined that I’d be part of a dream team of extraordinary talent bringing it to life. I can’t wait to reunite with Danny, Nicola, and Netflix on this remarkable project.”
We can't wait either, mate.
Production on The Stranger begins in March, and while we don't have a release date just yet, we can only hope that The Stranger will be available to watch by the end of this year.
