David Platt’s girlfriend to make shocking discovery about rapist’s past on Corrie

The dark storyline continues.

David Platt's girlfriend Shona Ramsey is set to go digging following David's recent unusual behaviour on the show - the emotional fallout as a result of a sexual assault he was victim to by Josh Tucker. The cafe worker was present on the night out leading up to the incident, which has been acclaimed as an honest and emotional portrayal of rape and its aftermath and has been suspicious of the mechanic ever since. Since the event, Tucker has continued to goad and taunt Platt about the rape, and on last Wednesday's episode, it almost came to a head, with David coming close to stabbing his abductor. Shona, who is played by Julia Goulding, is going to slowly work things out for herself, however, as she is given a clue about Josh's past which leads her to a former colleague of his who he has also sexually assaulted. The storyline continues at 7:30pm tonight on ITV.
