Silly sausage, indeed.

Declan Donnelly”s dachshund, Rocky, was treated by Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick yesterday after the dog suffered an injury to his back.

The pet was taken to Fitzpatrick Referrals just outside London when presenter Dec realised that the dog had hurt himself.

Rocky underwent treatment and emerged from the vet wrapped in a fur blanket and looking slightly shook but overall he seemed to be in good spirits.

Dec shared a photo of himself, Rocky, and Noel on the Ant and Dec Instagram account, thanking the Supervet and his team for their help.

“Another thank you to this legend and the amazing staff at Fitzpatrick Referrals for taking care of Rocky after the silly sausage hurt his back again!” he wrote.

“We never fail to be impressed by the kindness and care shown by all. You’re heroes! D x.”

This comes after the Supervet made headlines (and memes) when he was filmed late last year rescuing a lost swan in Dublin city centre.

Noel jogged after the animal flapping his jacket at it until hen safely picked the creature up and returned him to the canal.
