Back in the habit, yet again!

One classic 90s movie looks to be the next in line for yet another cinematic remake.

Whoopi Goldberg tore up the screens as lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier in the 1992 original, which saw her character go undercover with the help of some sisters in a Californian convent.

The release was followed by a sequel in 1993 and spawned a Tony Award-Winning Broadway musical. Now, 22 years later, it seems it’s time to revisit the story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney has begun work on a new installment of Sister Act.

Two of the brains behind Legally Blonde and The House Bunny, Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah are said to be writing the latest addition to the franchise. In news that will delight fans of the original, Smith and McCullah’s first collaboration with Disney resulted in one of the all-time best teen flicks – 10 Things I Hate About You.
