From Gucci to garlic dip, Paul Mescal’s GAA shorts have influenced society to no end.

The clocks springing forward is always the true signifier that warmer weather is near, and soon we’ll all be dusting off the short shorts to wear with pride for the usual eight (8) seconds of Irish summer.

Among those piecing together their summer wardrobes is newly opened Dominos Maynooth, who’ve just unveiled a uniform inspired by the town’s most famous export after the Irish priesthood – Paul Mescal.

Dominos Maynooth is the chain’s 59th store in Ireland, and to celebrate their opening they’ve launched a range of GAA shorts, or Short Shorts, as “an ode to local Gaelic Football, and our local Hollywood icon”.

The new Domino’s store was the location for a shoot with leading Irish fashion photographer, Evan Doherty who captured the summer wardrobe must-have. Dominos have described the Short Shorts as “the ultimate Spring Summer accessory, ideal for work or leisure, while wandering around town, going for a run or lounging around the home enjoying a Pepperoni Passion”.

All we need now is a silver chain with a pizza slice pendant and we’re sorted.

The new Dominos store is located at Unit 34 Carton Retail Park, Tesco, Maynooth, and is open now for all your meal deal needs.
