Really?
Donald Trump has blamed the Best Picture mix-up at this year's Oscars on politics.
You probably saw at the Academy Awards, when the time came to announce the most prestigious award of the night, Best Picture, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway read out
La La Land as the winner when in fact it was
Moonlight.
In an interview with
conservative news website Breitbart, Trump said that the mistaken announcement of
La La Land and the subsequent correct announcement of
Moonlight as the winner was down to the fact the producers were focusing too much on politics.
“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end,” President Trump told
Breitbart. “It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening. I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”
It didn't go down well with many people with Jimmy Kimmel aiming a snipe at the US President on Twitter following the interview.

PwC, the accounting firm which manages the counting and collation of votes at the Academy Awards, yesterday issued a statement to apologise for the mistake.
