Rumours are rife that Ross Kemp is going to return to EastEnders for the 30th anniversary celebrations next February.
Speculation is rife that the star is going to reprise his role as Grant Mitchell after BBC bosses refused to deny a report published in the Daily Star Sunday over the weekend.
A spokesperson told Digital Spy: “We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding the plans for our 30th anniversary at this stage.
“All we will say is that it will be a week that EastEnders viewers will not want to miss.”
The original newspaper report, which said that Kemp would be returning, comes only a matter of days after it was confirmed that Barbara Windsor would be appearing in one episode for the anniversary.
