EastEnders‘ Tilly Keeper is leaving the soap after four years.

The 22-year-old joined the iconic soap as Louise Mitchell in 2016. According to The Sunshe will be leaving in the new year – in what is said to be a dramatic storyline.

“I have loved playing Louise Mitchell over these past few years, and I feel honoured to have been part of such an iconic show,” the actress told the publication.

“Working with our incredible cast and crew has been a joy and I shall miss my EastEnders family greatly.”

Jon Sen, the executive producer of EastEnders, said that Tilly’s portrayal of Louise had been a “joy to watch.”

“Tilly has been an incredible asset to the EastEnders cast and a wonderful company member,” he said in his own statement. “Her portrayal of Louise Mitchell over the past years has been a joy to watch.

“We wish her well in all her future endeavours.”

The news comes amid reports that Louise is set to be left devastated this Christmas, after finding out that her boyfriend Keanu had an affair – and a child – with her stepmother, Sharon.

Danny Walters, who plays Keanu, announced he would also be leaving the soap earlier this year.

“It has been a joy to play Keanu Taylor for the last two and half years,” the actor said in a statement. “I have been blessed to work with the most fantastic creative team and I will miss them and my fellow actors immensely.”

EastEnders’ boss Jon Sen added at the time that Keanu’s exit storyline will come to “a dramatic and blistering conclusion”.
