Over the weekend it was revealed that Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) will be returning to our small screens in EastEnders but another familiar face is said to be leaving.
According to Digital Spy, David Wicks (played by Michael French) is going to be leaving Albert Square, and seemingly poor Carol, once again.
While a spokesperson confirmed that the actor is departing, show bosses are keeping further details about his exit under wraps so as not to spoil future episodes for viewers.
French has appeared on and off in the popular soap since 1993. He returned in September 2013 but was always planning to leave this year.
David Wicks (Michael French) is leaving EastEnders later this year.
