Turns out Ed O’Neill was a fan of Jackie Healy Rae. He was speaking to Stephen Byrne from 2FM today when he spoke about the late TD and said that he “got a kick out of him”.
He was telling Stephen about his time in Kerry and how he drove through Jackie’s hometown of Killorglin. He described seeing the signs with Jackie on them that greet you and wave you off as you pass through the village.
He also spoke about how Jackie once fought for the drink driving limit to be lowered for the sake of his pub. Ed then dropped his very own impression of the main man himself.
It sounds more like Italian but it’s still hilarious.
