Ed Westwick has made a pretty surprising claim about Gossip Girl

But really, who can blame him?

Eh…say what now?

It’s been 10 years since Gossip Girl had first has fans hooked.

The one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s upper elite may have left our screens in 2012, but it’s still got a pretty loyal fanbase.

Vanity Fair recently published a history on the guilty pleasure show, where the cast and crew dished out some behind the scenes gossip.

Many cast members joined in on piece, chatting about all kinds of things from the possibility of a Gossip Girl revival to Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio’s romance in 2011.

But when Ed Westwick, who played Chuck Bass on the hit series, was asked about his favourite plot line or memory on the show, he had a pretty surprising answer.

It turns out the 30 year old has no idea who Gossip Girl turned out to be.

He e-mailed back a simple:

“I still am not sure who GG was lol.”

Which comes across as a bit odd…especially as Ed’s character was in the room when everyone finally found out who Gossip Girl was.

Chuck even reassured Blair that her life “wasn’t ruined” as he asked:

“We always knew it was one of us, right?”

But it could also be possible that Ed, much like us, wasn’t buying into the whole idea of Dan Humphrey as Gossip Girl.

But really, who can blame him?

We definitely think there were some better candidates to be the all-knowing blogger behind the drama…
