Emmerdale star reveals a huge clue that shows Joe Tate may still be alive

We can't keep up anymore.

Emmerdale fans were left devastated last year after Joe Tate was seemingly killed off. He was punched in the head by Cain Dingle, who mistakenly thought that he had killed him after Joe hit head head. However, Graham Foster seemingly finished him off after driving Joe's body to the viaduct. Since then, there's been a lot (and we mean a lot) of back-and-forth about whether or not Joe is actually dead. The show is saying that he is 100 per cent, completely and totally dead. But some cast members have been speculating if Joe could end up coming back to the 'dales in a huge twist. Which we kind of understand, especially since there's been no sign of Joe's body - or even an outright confirmation that he died. Although we'd really like to find out the truth, preferably sooner than later. Now, Emma Atkins - who plays Charity Dingle - added another layer to the is-he-or-isn't-he mystery, admitting that even the cast don't know whether Joe Tate is actually dead. She told The Express: 

"No one really knows if he’s dead and I quite like that! "It could be quite interesting in a while if they left it and then suddenly they find out where he’s gone…"

Currently, Cain still believes he killed Joe. And Debbie refuses to forgive him, after finding out the "truth" of what happened. But with the police looking for answers, and Kim Tate's impending return to the village...well, it's only going to be a matter of time until fans have answers once and for all. Or, well, we hope so.
