Sports ruin everything.

Emmerdale is taking a considerable four day break this week meaning that viewers are going to have to wait until next Tuesday to find out what more inevitably creepy things are going to happen between groomer Maya and schoolboy Jacob. The saga hit a bit of a crescendo during last night's episode of the soap when Maya tried to coax the 16-year-old into sleeping with her when all he wanted to do was have a bit of food after a double PE session. You couldn't made it up, lads. Anyway, viewers were understandably disgusted yet also intrigued as to where the story was going to go afterwards... but because of the football they'll have to wait until next week to find out. Tonight's episode of the soap, and Monday's episode, have been cancelled due to live international football. This evening, the England vs Czech Republic Euro qualifier will take the show's place on ITV and elsewhere, with the England vs Montenegro match taking place on Monday. Coronation Street faces similar delays this week, opting to air a special hour long episode on Sunday following the tragic death of Rana on her wedding day.  Emmerdale will follow suit on Tuesday with their own double-bill in a bid to finally wrap up the Maya and Jacob situation. Chances are they won't though. That saga is never ending.
