However, their happy occasion had a tinge of sadness as Chas and Paddy had lost their baby daughter, Grace, days before.
Chas wanted the pair to go ahead with their wedding plans despite the circumstances; deciding to postpone her daughter's funeral until after Aaron and Robert were married.
She delivered a heart-wrenching speech after the ceremony, speaking out about Grace while wishing the newlyweds well - and talking about the couple's bright future ahead.

She said:
"Right, well, you all know about Grace, and how everybody wanted us to cancel today. But no, I wasn't doing that because today I got to see my beautiful, beautiful baby boy, all grown up, and married. And that's very precious.
"Right I would like to raise a toast to these two, who are madly in love and to the best, most beautiful son in the world.
"To my son-in-law, and my first gorgeous grandson. To little sisters, who are like daughters, and to all the amazingly good times that I am going to make damn sure that we have.
"To Mr and Mr Sugden Dingle."
There was further heartbreak as the newlyweds left for their honeymoon, when Chas become overwhelmed and had a panic attack -admitting that she wasn't ready to say goodbye to her daughter.
Paddy rushed to comfort her, as the wedding guests were told to "go home, the party's over".
Fans praised Lucy Prageter, who plays Chas, for her acting in the heartbreaking scenes.
