It’s already caused a lot of controversy among viewers.
But the Emmerdale storyline between Maya Stepney and Jacob Gallagher is set to take another turn next week when she is confronted by her boyfriend, David Metcalfe.
The teacher has been grooming 15-year-old Jacob, her student and the stepson of her boyfriend, David, for the last few weeks.
And in scenes set to air next week, Jacob decides to send Maya a topless selfie in an effort to impress her – leaving her amused by his innocence.
But when she doesn’t reply, Jacob sends another image – which may end up being what exposes their secret to everyone.
Maya is horrified to realise she had left her phone in the shop and rushes back, just in time to see Priya and David’s daughter, Amba, playing with it.
While she’s relieved to see that the schoolgirl didn’t see the photos from Jacob, Maya tells off Amba for playing with her phone.
According to Digital Spy, Priya begins to suspect that Maya may be hiding something after she overreacted to something which is so minor.
Later on, she tells David that she thinks Maya could be having an affair behind his back – and he begins to wonder if she could be right.
He decided to subtly confront her, asking her why she had been so paranoid about her phone, as a nervous Jacob watches on.
Will David finally find out the truth about what’s been going on?
