A very sweet gesture!
To mark their celebration yesterday on May 19, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to gift all their guests with a goodie bag as a token of the day. Cute.
Now, I know what you are thinking… like the Oscars or the Golden Globes or anything where stars are given freebies, it is seriously LAVISH and definitely involves a holiday somewhere tropical.
Well… you’ll be shocked to know that the gift bags at the royal wedding were very different. In fact super humble and a little random.
It is reported by the Business Insider that every guest received a little blue and white tote bag with the date of the wedding and a “HM” printed on the front. Then, the contents of the bag included a bottle of water, a chocolate coin, a commemorative shortbread and a fridge magnet.

The souvenir totes were also handed to the 2,500 members of the public who were invited to attend the wedding for various reasons such as showing leadership in their community and having undertaken charity work.
