The pub landlord had aroused his suspicion as he had recently found the money to save the Queen Vic at the last minute.
After Mick was kidnapped, Aidan began questioning him in an attempt to get answers and even threatened to hurt him but ended up letting him go after Mick protested his innocence.
Viewers found the whole thing a bit much, describing Aidan as a "pantomime villain."
Is Aiden meant to be scary or?! ?? #EastEnders

The scriptwriters on #EastEnders have actually lost the plot!!!!! What is Aidan supposed to be? The Godfather??? And is that supposed to be comedy Masood with his aunt and uncle? Just gets worse ???

Why are people scared of Aidan in #EastEnders? He's about as menacing as a cup of warm milk.

Aidan had so much potential and now he’s slowly becoming an embarrassing pantomime villain. I love him but come on... ‘hello young man.’ #EastEnders
