Good old Anton...

Everyone still reeling from the news that Sherif's going home, yeah? Love Island's Sherif Lanre has exited the villa, it was announced today. The 20-year-old rugby player from London was booted off after breaking one of the show's rules, according to ITV. “After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa," a statement read. In his own statement, Sherif acknowledged that he had misbehaved.

“In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa," he said. "I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from. "I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside.”

It's sad news for fans of the show - but one person who viewers reckon won't be sad is fellow Islander Anton. Twitter is predicting that the Scottish gym owner and stage five grafter will be happy with the chance to move in on Sherif's partner Anna.

Longtime viewers (i.e. anyone who tuned in last week) will recall that Anton previously made his interest in Anna known in front of Sherif. His grafting didn't come to anything in the end, with Anna choosing Sherif in the recoupling on Sunday. But does Sherif's departure mean Anton's back in with a chance? We don't know - but we can't wait to see him lay it on factor 50 thick again.
