Cheryl made her X Factor comeback last night when she appeared alongside Simon Cowell to help select the groups to go through to the live shows.

Of course, seeing Cheryl back on the reality show was always going to be a major hit with fans and we were delighted to see that the banter between her and Simon is still going strong. The music mogul couldn't resist the chance to poke some fun at Cheryl and it all kicked off during Rak-Su's all-important performance. Myles Stephenson, one member of the foursome, was said to have a soft spot for Cheryl and of course, this was the prime opportunity for Simon to make a smart comment. He said that Myles liked Cheryl, Cheryl said she was taken and Simon responded with "trust me on this show anything can happen". Ouch. Cheryl (34) laughed it off but we're sure she was raging as her former co-judge was clearly referring to her relationship with Liam Payne (24), father to her son Bear. Of course, this moment didn't go unnoticed by viewers and many took to Twitter to point out Simon's cheeky one-liner.
