We may have bid farewell to The Summer I Turned Pretty series, but Jenny Han has revealed this isn't the last we'll see of Cousins.
As heartbroken as we were to see the show come to an end, Jenny Han perfected the show's ending with Conrad and Belly finally getting back together after a tumultuous three seasons.
And now the beloved on-screen couple will reunite in a movie based on the Prime series.
Jenny Han confirmed the news hours after the final episode aired, leaving fans both shocked and overjoyed.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is set to conclude its story with a feature film installation written and directed by Jenny Han.
While story details are still under wraps, the surprise news was announced at the series’ finale red carpet celebration in Paris, France.
Speaking of the news, Jenny Han said she cannot wait to continue Belly's story.
"There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans," said Han.
"The Summer I Turned Pretty has struck a chord with audiences everywhere, creating moments of joy, nostalgia, and connection that have made it a global sensation,” said Courtenay Valenti, head of film, streaming, and theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios.
The hit series was adapted from Jenny Han’s best-selling trilogy, The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The entire cast of The Summer I Turned Pretty series will return for the film, including Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Jackie Chung, and Rain Spencer.
