Louisa played teenager Ruby Allen on the show back in 2006 and 12 years later will make her return to reconnect with old friends and some enemies.
Ruby left the square in tears 12 years ago and is said to return in the hopes of rebuilding her relationship with former best mate, Stacey Fowler.
Speaking of returning to the popular soap, Louisa, 29, said:
“EastEnders was my first acting job out of drama school and opened so many doors for me. “It’s wonderful to be given the opportunity to come back and explore my character and I’m excited to see what’s in store for Ruby. “We last saw her 12 years ago as a young girl and now she is returning as a woman with scope for major change and some brilliantly challenging storylines.”
Ruby was the daughter of villain Johnny Allen who died in 2006 before she left the square.
She dated Stacey’s older brother Sean for a brief stint before fleeing Walford seemingly for good.
Show bosses say she is returning for one of “the biggest storylines of the year” and we cannot wait.
