Viewers were loving Ian last night.
While many hopeful romantics leave the First Dates restaurant without making a connection with someone, they can often times leave with something else entirely.
Every once and a while, someone appears on the show that just wins the hearts of viewers everywhere and that’s real love.
One of those people was Ian on last night’s UK version of the show.
Ian nervously waited at the bar for his date to arrive as he spoke about it being his first ever date.
Yes, from there, viewers were rooting for him to succeed and for his date to fall as madly in love as they had with him.
Ian’s college roommate even backed up the belief that he was a great guy on Twitter, sharing pictures from the college years.

Ian worked hard to keep the conversation flowing despite his obvious nerves.
His reaction to dessert quickly had viewers laughing in response and for good reason.

However, viewers comments of praise quickly turned to upset when it became apparent that Ian’s date wasn’t all that interested.
Fans, quickly demanded that Channel 4 bring Ian back in a bid to find love the second time around.
