The first family of Irish music will be on tonight’s Late Late

Anna O'Rourke

Looks like a good one!

Fans of trad music should skip the pub tonight – The Late Late Show is celebrating one of Ireland’s favourite musicians with a Mary Black special.

The singer, who has been entertaining for five decades, will be on the show to celebrate thirty years since the release of ‘By the Time It Gets Dark’.

She’ll be joined by the other Black family members Mary, Frances, Shay, Michael and Martin, as well as her son Danny O’Reilly (from the Coronas) and daughter Róisín Ó.

Other well-known faces like Robbie and Claudine Keane will also be on hand to pay tribute to the star.

Other guests for the show include Paul Burrell, former butler to Princess Diana; gardener Diarmaid Gavin and independent TD Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran.
