The suspense is killing us.

We have to admit, in the final days before the royal wedding, we actually cannot handle the anticipation about what’s going to go down on Harry and Meghan’s big day.

And as each day passes, we’re being gifted with more and more information about the huge event – and today it’s the turn of the first named A-list musical guest.

While it won’t come as surprise to many, Elton John has been confirmed to take to the mic at the royal wedding for what is sure to be a special performance.

Sources close to the singer confirmed the news to TMZ, saying that the legendary singer would be performing at the wedding on Saturday, however, it is yet to be confirmed whether he would play the ceremony or reception.

Elton was originally scheduled to perform in Vegas this weekend, but rescheduled his appearance months back and claimed it was due to a “scheduling conflict”.

Elton is well-known to have been a close friend of Princess Diana and famously sang Candle in the Wind at her funeral in 1997.

The singer also performed at Prince William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, so it’s no surprise that Harry would ask the musical icon to be there for his too.

According to rumours, other performers could include Spice Girls, Ellie Goulding, James Blunt and Ed Sheeran but we might have to wait until Saturday to get confirmation on those.
