Cinderella is coming back to the big screen.
In the latest of Disney’s live action takes on fairytale classics, Lily James brings to life Ella, whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home.
But, when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. But as any girl knows, a good night on the town can go a long way to making your life a little better. Mind you, we don’t all have a ball to attend and we could do with a good Fairy Godmother.
Game of Thrones‘ Richard Madden will play Prince Charming (Kit) in the new film.
Cinderella, directed by Kenneth Brannagh, is due in Irish cinemas in March 2015.
