A Four Wedding and a Funeral TV show is on the way

Time to save the date.

Four Weddings and a Funeral TV show is officially on the way – and will premiere later this year.

According to TV Line, the 10-episode anthology dramaedy will debut on July 31 and will be loosely based on the 1994 rom-com of the same name.

The description for the series reads:

“Four Weddings and a Funeral follows four American friends — Maya, Craig, Ainsley, and Duffy — who reunite for a fabulous London wedding.

“But after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil, they must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak.

“Relationships are forged and broken, political scandals exposed, London social life lampooned, love affairs ignited and doused, and of course, there are four weddings…and a funeral.”

Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel (Maya), Nickesh Patel (Kash), Rebecca Rittenhouse (Ainsley) and John Paul Reynolds (Duffy) lead the main cast.

There is a bit of a downside, though: as the series will be premiering on Hulu, it won’t be available over her just yet.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed it will be here sooner rather than later.

The news comes soon after the streaming service announced when the Veronica Mars revival would be on the way.

The cult favourite series aired for three season from 2004 to 2007 on UPN, before it moved to the CW.

It was announced last year that the show would be returning for a limited series, with production getting underway just a few months later.

Hulu have shared the first teaser for the series, with Kristen Bell back in her title role as the amateur detective.
