Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage has a brutal warning about next season

Keeley Ryan

The details of Game of Thrones‘ season 8 are Westeros’ most closely guarded secret since…well, just about forever.

And there’s still a fairly long wait to go, as the episodes aren’t expected to air until mid-2019.

There’s a bit of a bright spot, though: the cast are being a bit more chatty this year, sharing insider information about what fans can expect.

Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, recently admitted that the upcoming six episodes  are “the best television anyone has ever seen”.

Currently, there are more fan theories about what may/may not happen than there are members of Daenerys’ Unsullied army. But, according to Dinklage, nobody is actually prepared for what is in store.

He told The Belfast Telegraph:

“I think it’s going to be the best season of television anyone has ever seen.

“It takes you to a place that you never saw coming, that I didn’t see coming and just, yeah, be prepared. It’s a fun ride.”

The actor was speaking at the premier of his new HBO movie, My Dinner with Hervé.

He also spoke about the “beautiful” end for his character – although he was careful not  to give too much away.

He told Entertainment Tonight

“There are no better writers in television than [showrunners] Dan Weiss and David Benioff. They ended it brilliantly. Better than I could have imagined and you people are in for it.

“It ends beautifully for my character whether it be tragic or not.”
