Garth Brooks is about to confirm three outdoor concerts in Ireland

He’s coming back… or so it’s rumoured.

Yes, although the news has not yet been made official – it is currently being reported that Garth Brooks is finally set to perform in Ireland.

The country music superstar famously cancelled a series of concerts at Croke Park back in the summer of 2014.

The Irish Daily Mail reports that Brooks could use the same set he had in place for those abandoned shows at GAA Headquarters, although any Dublin show is unlikely to take place at Croke Park given Brooks’ previous experiences with Dublin City Council.

However, Aiken Promotions have denied any involvement in setting up the concerts.

A source told the Mail: “The gigs being cancelled in 2014 was a major blow for him and he has always wanted to come and pay. He has been on an American and world tour since the 2014 debacle and always wanted to return to play to his Irish fans.

“He was very impressed with the Bruce Springsteen regional tour which went around Ireland and feels that this is the best way to come back to Ireland.

“It is still in the very early stages of planning and the venues have yet to be booked. But Garth has provisional agreed to come back to Ireland.”
